Guangzhou Restaurant which opened in 1935 is a brand of profound significance to local people as their "first dining choice in Guangzhou", bearing the memory of several generations of Guangzhou people which is deeply rooted in their memories.
This project is for Haosheng Hotel on Yanjiang Road, with Beijing Road and Changdi Road stretching nearby. Across the street is Tianzi Wharf with a history of 500 years, a popular destination of Guangzhou City surrounded by boats and tourists.
“Scrumptious"and" glamorous" are two key words in this design, aiming to perfectly integrate the dish styles and space design, to refine, reconstruct and mobilize the classical elements and symbols of Guangzhou culture and highlight an exquisite, elegant and dynamic sense of place.
The dainty atmosphere and mellow tastes of classical Cantonese cuisines complement each other and strike a new paradigm of space for brand hotels which is unique and attractive.
We hope to construct some "uniqueness" beyond common design methods for catering spaces. Composed of materials, objects, scenes, lights, shadow, and human voices, such "uniqueness" can represent fragments of this city’s delicate culture and life, making guests explore in reality and illusion.
We also set the speeds and depths of such senses and perceptions, with each of them full of emotions and motivations, while whispering the city's memories and desires systemically.
YAN DESIGN team has paid great attention on the professional lighting systems. For the catering space, the selection of engineering lights and delicate illuminance arrangement, besides decorative lights, is also proven professional and artistic.
In addition, our graphic design team also upgrades the brand recognition system of Guangzhou Restaurant. From its logo, patterns, space signs and the application system of extended materials, are all designed systematically based on the new look of the new restaurant.
With modern bustling streets outside, the glamour of interior spaces can spread out calmly through the design, and the space arrangement can improve through relations among different space blocks, with imagery components acting as boundaries.
The space narratives are completed by customized display device, and different space expressions in day and night are generated through the atmosphere changes represented by the lighting.
In such a pleasant environment with a high integration of comprehensive senses, every guest for gourmet experience couldn't help but recollect their past time and memories.
